“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” -Hippocrates
Eat BETTER not less. In my last post I discussed the benefits of a balanced diet and how to plan your meals to maximize your satisfaction (without maximizing your waistline). When you eat the RIGHT foods, you can eat in abundance without fear of weight gain. Your body knows how to digest REAL food. And what better way to fuel your body than with real, nourishing, satisfying, SUPERFOODS?! Cue Paleovalley! I teamed up with this cool company to share their ultra healthy Organic Supergreens.
In case you don’t already know that I love Paleovalley, you can check out my review of their grass-fed beef sticks. Their super greens are packed with gluten, dairy, and soy free nutrients! They’re loaded with 19 different superfoods- including; spirulina, sea kelp, kale, chlorella, aloe vera, dulse, amla, reishi mushroom, turmeric, monk fruit, and more! Plus, their super greens are made without any cereal grains- making their powder perfect if you follow a Paleo or grain-free diet! Their super greens also contain digestive enzymes to help your body break down and absorb all these beneficial nutrients. I love that their greens are organic, antioxidant-rich, non-GMO, and they contain absolutely NO added sugars, fake sweeteners or sugar alcohols. Talk about a SUPER food!
Today I want to share a simple, yummy, smoothie recipe featuring their super greens!
This is SO easy and satisfying! Just blend 1 large frozen banana, a splash of coconut water, and a tablespoon of Paleovalley super greens. I like to add a scoop of collagen for added protein. Just 4 simple ingredients and you’re good to go. Top your smoothie with fresh fruits, nut butter, paleo granola, hemp seeds or whatever other nutritious toppings you have on hand. SO easy, so healthy, so good. I have to confess, ice cold smoothie bowls are actually not that appealing to me when the weather is damp and chilly. But let’s face it folks, IT’S JUNE! Bring on the sunshine and the smoothies!
How about you? What’s your favorite way to incorporate superfoods into your life?

I’m all about healthy smoothies/smoothie bowls, and definitely like to keep a selection of super greens around to throw into them. I also have been liking this frozen fruit blend that comes with frozen kale in it as well – such an easy way to add in some greens!
