Stocking my own mini fridge is something I consider essential to maintaining a healthy lifestyle while at college. Since I prefer ‘mini-meals’ and snacks, I love to have healthy options on hand! Here is a peak into what’s in my fridge.
First of all, you can see I have tons of apples! I love fresh apples in Autumn, and I love them cold! These actually came from my parents from an apple orchard in Rhode Island. I put them in the fridge to chill them down so I can enjoy them nice and crisp! Right underneath them I have baby carrots and fresh hummus for snacking!
Another thing I have is Greek Yogurt! I have some tasty flavors… great for a quick breakfast or a satisfying snack. Underneath that, I have small cheese snacks which go great with flax or rice crackers. I also have portioned amounts of peanut butter and salsa! And I can’t forget oranges! They’re great to blend into a smoothie!
To keep hydrated, I have Coconut Water (which balances out your electrolytes) and regular water! I absolutely LOVE coconut water blended into a tropical smoothie! So refreshing and delicious!
As you can see, this is a well stocked fridge! Healthy snacks and drinks keep you going in between meals!
How about you? What’s in your fridge and cupboards? Any grocery essentials?
