“Superfoods” are all the rage in the nutritional world. But what exactly is a “superfood?”
Quite basically, they’re foods that do more for your body than just feed it. They nourish your body at a deeper level. They help to prevent against diseases, they slow down the appearance of aging, they fight fat, and they have a high amount of nutritional value in just a small serving!
Throughout the next few weeks I’m planning to show you guys some everyday foods that have hidden superpowers! Not only are these foods incredibly nutritious, they’re also really tasty and very simple to prepare. In fact, many superfoods have just one ingredient! Did you know that very common foods like apples, bananas, spinach, avocado, and carrots are superfoods!? This is great because, as a college student living in a dorm room, I won’t be able to prepare elaborate meals.
Anyways, check back here on Saturdays and you should find a new post for “Saturday Superfood!” This will introduce you to a new food (or more likely a food you’ve already been eating) and show you its hidden benefits!
